This laser cut, hand painted wall hanging celebrating the Bird of Paradise: a very common Central/South American jungle plant. Laced with lavish, luxurious art nouveau swirls and the rectilinear curves that the style is famed for, this piece blends the natural organic strokes of the style with a literal homage to the very organisms that inspired the style.

Cut in several layers, the piece is hand painted in watercolour, with each one being unique and slightly different in its own way. I have included closeups of the huge, imposing red and yellow flower as well as the seed of life/flower of life motifs.
